COVID-19
Covid-19 Restrictions have been lifted but will still follow the same protocol as the sick illness policy holds. We do not have to wear mask but will encourage health screening questions upon arrival through bright wheel.
• We will also clean, sanitize and disinfect frequently touched items such as toys, door handles tables, chairs and faucets.
• Families will be notified of COVID-19 Exposure
• Families must be symptom free and a doctor’s note upon return COVID-19 is contagious much like the Flu.
Hill Dreamz Daycare will enforce the Sick Policy and continue to take action in creating a clean and safe environment.
•
Covid-19 is still contagious and want to ensure all children are safe and healthy.
The goal of Hill Dreamz Daycare is to keep both the children and the caregivers healthy. Therefore, if a child exhibit any of the symptoms listed below, the child will not be allowed to attend the childcare facility until the symptoms are no longer present or unless the parent has obtained a statement from the child's doctor that the child is not contagious. The final decision as to whether a child will be admitted to the childcare facility will be made in the sole discretion of the provider.
This policy applies to the following symptoms:
a. Fever of 100 degrees F
b. Persistent diarrhea (More than three times in the day; watery)
c. Continuous coughing / running nose (GREEN BOOGERS: This is a sign of infection and child will not be able to return until boogers are clear)
d. Irregular breathing
e. Unusual rashes (hands, feet & mouth included)
f. Vomiting (more than twice)
g. Yellowish color to the eyes or skin
h. Swallowing difficulty
i. Persistent and/or excessive crying
j. Discharge from eyes, redness, puffy eyes, itchiness, swollen lining of the eyes or irritation (including pink eye) or discharge from the ears.
k. Excessive drowsiness
l. Lice
m. Communicable diseases
n. Earache (keep an eye for younger children who pull on their ears)
If your child has any of the above conditions, you are required to notify me as soon as possible. A child will not be allowed to return to my program until he or she has been symptom-free for a full 24 hours.
If a child exhibit any of these symptoms while present at the childcare facility, the parent will be notified and must immediately remove the child. The child may be isolated from the other children at the child-care facility until the parent arrives. Parents must pick up within 30 minutes of notification. If you do not pick your child up within 30 minutes your emergency contact list will be contacted. If no one picks up your child, we are by law mandated to then call Child protective services.
We work close with the Department of Public Health and discuss all health concerns with our assigned Nurse Maryia. Our nurse then will advise based on the symptoms, safety, and well-being of all children in care. Families will be able to have access to the assigned nurse as well. Again. The final decision as to whether a child will be admitted to the childcare facility will be made in the sole discretion of the provider.
